On the morning of February 17, 2003, investigators from Antwerp’s infamous \u2018Diamond Squad\u2019 were called to investigate the brazen nighttime robbery of a supposedly impregnable vault in the center of the Diamond City.<\/p>\n
It is estimated that between 100 million and half a billion diamonds were stolen and never found. The heist was carried out by an ingenious gang of jewel thieves from Italy, known as “La Scuola di Torino”.
